Lawatan Kerja Rasmi ke KPTM Alor Setar (22 July 2025)

On 22 July 2025, an official delegation from EDUMi.my conducted a working visit to Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) Alor Setar to establish a strategic partnership aimed at empowering higher education and career opportunities for Malaysian students. The visit was led by the CEO of EDUMi.my, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman, and was warmly received by the Deputy Director of KPTMAS, Encik Khairul Azman Mohamed Kasim.

This collaboration focuses on bridging the gap between academia and industry, providing Bumiputera students with enhanced pathways to compete on a global stage.

Strategic Initiatives and Academic Empowerment

The discussions between both parties covered several high-impact initiatives designed to strengthen the educational ecosystem at KPTMAS. Key agreements include:

  • Industry Partner Appointment: EDUMi.my will be appointed as an official industry partner to KPTMAS, fostering a closer relationship between academic learning and professional industry requirements.
  • Curriculum Development Support: Collaboration on developing market-oriented curricula to ensure graduates possess the skills currently demanded by employers.
  • Formalising Cooperation: Both parties expressed readiness to sign a Letter of Collaboration (LoC) in the near future, followed by a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the KPTM headquarters level.
  • Marketing Synergy: EDUMi.my will serve as a strategic marketing partner to expand the reach of KPTMAS?s quality educational programmes to a wider audience.

The Launch of 'MyEire': A Malaysia-Ireland Degree Pathway

A major highlight of the visit was the introduction of the "MyEire Malaysia-Ireland Degree" programme. This international mobility initiative is specifically designed to allow diploma students from the KPTM or Kolej Profesional MARA (KPM) network to progress to degree levels in Ireland.

Through the MyEire programme, students can complete their final degree years at prestigious Irish institutions, including Griffith College Ireland and the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). This pathway offers a cost-effective route to obtaining an international qualification while gaining invaluable global exposure.

Enhancing Graduate Employability

Beyond academic progression, EDUMi.my is committed to supporting students' transition into the workforce through its digital platform. The following opportunities are now accessible to KPTMAS students:

  • Internship Placements: Students have the opportunity to undergo industrial training within the EDUMi.my ecosystem or its network of industry partners.
  • Job Opportunities: Access to domestic and international career openings via the EDUMi.my platform.
  • Talent Development: Focus on building the soft skills and professional competencies required to thrive in the global economy.

This working visit reflects the dedication of both EDUMi.my and KPTM Alor Setar in driving synergy between education and industry. By fostering this collaboration, we aim to produce high-quality human capital capable of excelling in a competitive international environment.
