Overview
IS UUM OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING RIGHT FOR YOU?
Universiti Utara Malaysia's PACE website currently lists two Open and Distance Learning bachelor's programmes: Bachelor of Public Management with Honours and Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours.
ODL can make higher education far more accessible for working adults and diploma graduates, but flexibility does not mean a lighter academic commitment.
What Should Working Students Consider?
Before applying, estimate the realistic hours available each week for online classes, reading, group work, and assignments. Check whether assessments require scheduled real-time attendance and whether work, family, or travel commitments could regularly conflict with them.
Practical checks:
- Current entry and English-language requirements
- Programme duration and maximum completion period
- Full fees and payment schedule
- Credit-transfer rules for previous study
- Device, internet, and learning-platform requirements
- Academic and technical support arrangements
Career value depends heavily on how the curriculum relates to your current job or intended career progression. Review modules and learning outcomes carefully, then discuss the qualification with your employer or relevant professional body where necessary.
Where Should Applicants Verify Details?
Refer to the official UUM PACE ODL programme page for current programme titles and direct application guidelines.
EDUMi.my can assist with initial pathway planning and credit transfer evaluations, but UUM independently determines admission, credit recognition, and graduation requirements.
